YOUNGSTERS from Evesham Nursery School gave Jeremy Paxman a run for his money after grilling the town’s MP on a recent visit.
Nigel Huddleston was put in the hot seat by pupils at the nursery to find out more about his job and even asked him questions that experienced journalists don’t dare to ask, whether or not he likes dragons.
The Evesham MP also took Pebbles, the nursery bear, on an adventure to Westminster where he even got to meet the Education Secretary Nicky Morgan.
Mr Huddleston said: “I think the children are very lucky to attend such a warm, loving school which offers good facilities for everyone.
“There is a very special atmosphere at the school and all of the children seem happy, active and engaged.”
Marian Gager, headteacher of Evesham Nursery School, said: “Nigel was genuinely interested in hearing about the children’s ideas and interests.
“He enthusiastically joined in with our learning, showing enjoyment and humour.”
“We were so impressed by how naturally and warmly Nigel communicated with our very young children.
The nursery is also holding a 20th anniversary event on Friday, March 18 with past children, parents and staff all invited.
