PC's outstanding work is rewarded

A DEDICATED Evesham policewoman has been awarded for going above and beyond the call of duty.

PC Julie de Paris was presented with the annual Police Trophy Award by Wychavon District Council Chairman, Coun Val Wood to recognise her outstanding contribution to the community.

The Evesham police officer, who joined the town’s force back in 2007, began her career with West Mercia in Worcester where she spent two years as a patrol officer.

In the citation for her award it said: “PC de Paris has dedicated herself to ensuring that the people of Wychavon are protected from injury, loss and distress, showing respect for the diverse communities that make up our vibrant area.




“Julie has, through her strength, diligence and commitment, managed a local policing area that has had some particularly demanding issues.

“She has won the trust of various communities within her area and has been supportive and demonstrated a skill for communication, respect, fairness and honestly.”


Coun Val Wood, Chairman of Wychavon District Council, said: “It’s always a pleasure to make an award to the police whose efforts I feel are sometimes not appreciated.

“PC de Paris epitomises a dedicated policewomen whose commitment has resulted in winning the trust of the various communities within her area.

“Well done Julie.”

PC Julie de Paris said: “I am delighted and honoured to receive this award – it was a total surprise when I was told.

“I would like to thank my colleagues and the partner agencies that have supported me throughout my career.”
