Investigation continues into serious Workman Bridge assault

POLICE are continuing to investigate an assault on Workman Bridge which left a man with serious injuries.

The incident happened in the middle of the road, on the Bridge Street side of the bridge, between 3.45am and 3.55am on Saturday, August 6.

Police believe there were several people on the bridge at the time.

A man was left with serious injuries after he was assaulted by another man who is described as being tall and white with long dark hair. He was also wearing a white T-shirt, dark trousers and was carrying a white carrier bag.




Following the assault the offender walked off with two other men in the direction of Port Street.

Officers investigating the incident would now like to hear from anyone who has any information about the assault to help identify the offender.


Anyone with information is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 420S of August 6.
