FESTIVE cheer arrived in Pershore as hundreds in the town celebrated the town’s Christmas lights switch-on event.
Father Christmas and his beloved reindeer were the special guests on Saturday (November 29) as a fun-filled day ended with the town being lit up in style followed by a stunning fireworks display.
To mark the festive season and to remember passed loved ones who were no longer there to celebrate, there was also a candle lit procession through the town and the lighting of the Tree of Light Christmas tree in the centre of Broad Street –
organised by Pershore Rotary Club.
At night the town’s renowned independent stores opened until late in the Pershore late night shopping event which this year coincided with the lights switch-on.
