Four arrested after Evesham violence

A MAN, WOMAN and two teenagers were arrested following disorder in four Evesham streets in and around Oak Tree Close.

West Mercia Police received a number of calls from concerned residents in and around Oak Tree Close regarding a group of young people seen in the area between 3.40pm and 4pm on Thursday (May 26).

The group were initially spotted on Battleton Road, then along Four Pools Lane before progressing down a footpath onto Davies Road and ended up on Oak Tree Close where officers attended the scene.

Concerned residents believed the group were shouting threats and carrying objects, described as wooden poles and blades.




Officers attended the scene and arrested four people.

A 27 year-old-woman, a 22 year-old-man and two 16-year-olds have been bailed until Sunday, June 26.
