A POPULAR Vale family have handed the keys of their hotel over to a new company after four decades at the helm.
Guests and Christmas party goers at the weekend were unaware of any changes when the Jenkinson family handed over the Evesham Hotel after forty years.
It was acquired on Friday (December 18) by Arena Corp Ltd, whose current portfolio includes the Banbury House Hotel.
The Evesham Hotel team of more than forty local staff will remain and continue to welcome business and leisure guests as usual.
Arena Corp do, however, intend an upgrade of the facilities.
In a statement, John and Sue Jenkinson thanked ‘the many lovely local staff, suppliers, businesses and all the guests who’ve helped make their time at the hotel such a pleasure’
“We look forward to watching as The Evesham Hotel, formerly the Bengeworth Mansion House, leads on towards its 500th year,” they added.
