EXPLOSIVES are thought to have been used in a cash point theft at the BP Vale Services on  Cheltenham Road in Ashton Under Hill.

The raid took place about 4am on Friday morning (July 17) and saw offenders allegedly use an ‘explosive device’ to gain access to a cash point, before making off with a substantial amount of money.

They then left in what is believed to be a light coloured new Mini estate, on the A46 in the direction of Tewkesbury.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 65 of 17th July.

Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting the website.
