THE FOUNDER of an Evesham charity is set to receive a British Empire Medal (BEM) for her services in the King’s New Year Honours list.
Tracey Hemming opened the Freedom Day Centre in Evesham back in July 2017 with hopes of providing a safe environment for adults with learning disabilities and other special needs.
She will receive a BEM for her services to young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
Tracey has previously won the Jubilee Award for Wychavon in 2017 and the unpaid carers award for the West Midlands in 2018.
The facility supports over one hundred users and Traccey says its means a lot seeing the impact their work has on people.
Tracey Hemming has been approached for comment.
