PERSHORE Town Council has picked up a prestigious national award for the eighth year in a row.
The Local Council Awards scheme handed the town council their highest accolade of Quality Gold at a ceremony on Wednesday (February 10).
Pershore is one of only 10 town and parish councils out of 10,000 in the country to receive the title.
Continuously now since 2007 the town council has been a ‘Quality Council’ which shows they have achieved excellent standards in community governance, community leadership and performance management.
Town Clerk Ann Dobbins said: “The Town Council has demonstrated that it provides leadership for its community brings people together, has excellent business planning processes, ensuring value for money as well as constantly seeking new innovations and opportunities to improve.”
