A ‘QUACKING’ good time was had by young and old at the inaugural Duck Race in support of this year’s Pershore Carnival.

The inaugural event, sponsored by Hill View Ducks, took place on Easter Sunday (April 5) and saw around 1,000 ducks take to the water.

A funfair, Easter Egg tombola and Treasure Hunt were all part of a fun packed morning on St George’s Fields.

Andy Openshaw was the lucky winner of the £75 top prize when his duck (number 614) was declared the winner.

Matthew Clutterbuck celebrated second place after duck 815 crossed the line close behind while cash prizes were also awarded to the owners of ducks 515, 114 and 308 who finished third, fourth and fifth.
