Davidson to return to Evesham

Evesham Editorial 10th Feb, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

COMEDIAN Jim Davidson will return to Evesham with a charity gig at the town’s Arts Centre.

The former Celebrity Big Brother winner was due to perform the latest leg of his ‘No Further Action’ tour at the Regal in Port Street on January 31.

But the 61-year-old pulled out around an hour before the curtain was due to come up and blamed the height of the venue’s stage for his decision – a claim strongly disputed by the Regal’s management.

The comic apologised for cancelling the original gig and has now put together a special show to mark his return to the Vale at the Victoria Avenue venue on Sunday, March 29.

All of the proceeds from the Arts Centre show will be donated to the service veterans charity Care After Combat.

Very few comedians could turn the worst year of their life into a resounding success.

Fresh from winning the most successful ever series of Big Brother by a landslide, comedy king Jim Davidson has done exactly that.

‘No Further Action’ will see Jim tell the story of his arrest and the nightmare 12 months that followed, the clearing of his name and winning the heart of the nation all over again.

It promises to be the most outrageous, hilarious and insightful show Jim has ever performed, but most of all it will be the truth.

Tickets priced £15 will be on sale shortly from Evesham Almonry on Abbey Road or by phone on 01386 446944
