HONEYBOURNE’S popular Village Show returns this Sunday (September 4) with crowds set to be wowed by a performance from a World Irish Dancing Champion.
The event kicks off at 1pm on the Sports and Recreation Field in Honeybourne and organisers have been busily preparing behind the scenes to make sure this year’s show is bigger and better than before.
World Irish Dancing Champion Gemma Osmond, will be opening the event.
As well as that, there will be performances from Irish dancing, to Morris dancing, choirs and a jazz band.
There will also be a produce and craft show, stalls and sideshows, classic cars, an owl and hawk display, ferret racing, a miniature steam traction, locomotive engines, children’s activities and a tug-of-war contest. The Fleece Inn will also be providing a beer tent.
Richard Kendrick, Village Hall Committee Chairman, said: “The theme for the show is ’Celebrating our Community’.
“Honeybourne is growing and the Village Show is an opportunity for people to come together, show off their talents and have fun while raising funds for our new Community Centre.”
