TOWN Mayor Coun Fred Kaler will be on hand at The Range when the Four Pools Retail Park store opens its doors to customers next Friday (May 20).

Together with Mayoress Coun Sue Amor, the store will open at 9am with giveaways for the first 50 people in the queue and a competition will be run where a handful of lucky customers could win Range vouchers.

Celebrations will also continue over the weekend with free face painting for children on Saturday, May 21 and Trimcraft and Design Objectives Crafts will be running free craft demonstrations over the weekend.

Since The Range confirmed in March it would take over the former Homebase site, a major transformation has seen 16 departments created as well as an outdoor garden centre.

The new store is bringing around 80 jobs to the town, from warehouse staff and sales assistants to store and office managers.

Chris Dawson from The Range said: “Opening a new store is always an exciting moment for the company and the Evesham store is no exception.

“It comes at a time of massive expansion for the company with many other new stores in the pipeline for 2016,” he added.
