Cold callers target Badsey man

Evesham Editorial 20th Jul, 2016 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

A MAN from Badsey was forced into buying a generator he didn’t want after cold callers knocked on his door.

The man, who lives in Bowers Hill, bought the item believing the cold callers would then leave him alone. However, the two men returned days later and tried to sell him cooking plans.

The two male cold callers involved in the incident were seen in a van. One has been described as tall, whilst the other has been described as being of a stocky build. Police do not yet have any further details on the description of the two men at this stage.

Police are now reminding Vale residents not to buy items from cold callers and are warning residents not to give out personal details to anyone offering services or products they don’t recognise.

Also, anyone concerned about a vulnerable or elderly family member or friend are urged to make them aware of police advice and should call the police on 101 if there are concerns about strangers at their door.
