A CHARITY disco in aid of a Pershore teenager who passed away hours after he was rescued from a Worcester canal will be held at the town’s football club.
Pershore Town Football Club will be the venue for the disco in memory of Sean Stevens tonight (Friday) from 7pm.
Following his tragic passing, a number of fund-raising projects have been set up in his memory to help with funeral costs and for a bench close to the spot where the incident took place.
One of the fund-raising projects hopes to get a bench put in Abbey Park in memory of the teenager, a former pupil at Pershore High School.
Poignantly, fund-raisers also hope the bench will be put together from the Broad Street tree logs, a cause close to Sean’s mums heart.
The disco will raise cash towards the costs of the funeral and for a headstone for the 17-year-old and will cost £5 per family or £3 per person.
