KIND-HEARTED staff and regulars at a popular Evesham pub handed over £688 to the Children’s Air Ambulance.
Trumpet Inn landlord Steve Richford and landlady Katrina Edwards were joined by regulars Keith Warren and Mick Hodgkins to hand over the cash to Jo Payne from the charity.
Keith and Mick were among those who dug deep to lend their support during one of the numerous charity nights at the Merstow Green pub in recent months.
The Children’s Air Ambulance operates a helicopter across the UK to ferry ill children from hospital to nine specialist care units four times faster than by road.
The handover was a double celebration as Steve and Katrina celebrated their first anniversary at the pub yesterday (Friday) during which time they have raised more than £1,500 for numerous good causes.
“It’s been a wonderful first year and we cannot thank our regulars enough for digging deep and helping us raise the money we have for both the Children’s Air Ambulance and other charities,” Steve said.
