KIND-HEARTED pupils at St Nicholas CE Middle School showed their support for Pershore’s Foodbank by baking biscuits for the cause.
Year five pupils cooked up a storm to provide the tasty treats for the charity, based at St Andrews Hall, to provide during the drop in cafe sessions it offers those in need.
Pershore Foodbank, a Trussell Trust charity, has provided food parcels for more than 60 people each month since it opened a year ago.
Judy Dale, chair of the charity’s steering group, said: “It is excellent that the pupils at St Nicholas are learning that they can make a real difference and help people in their own area who face a crisis and, literally, have nothing to eat.”
The school’s head of Design and Technology, Carolyn Gemson, said: “All of the children are very attentive and keen to make sure that they produce the very best biscuits they can.”
