A HARVINGTON pub has been chosen to host a unique ale night by Marston’s Brewery.

The Golden Cross will serve up a five course meal, which will be accompanied by ten of the Wolverhampton-based brewery’s ales, on Wednesday (September 21).

Genevieve Upton, a beer sommelier and master brewer for Marston’s, will be at the Village Street pub to guide diners through the tasting profile of each beer, as well as to give a full insight into the history and brewing process of the famous brewery.

Claire Carson, landlady at The Golden Cross said: “Its been an amazing project working alongside Genevieve. Many people just order a beer along with their lunch or dinner, but have no idea if their preferred choice is going to taste well with their food.

“The beers will be both British and international and there will also be a Pilsner that is not yet available in this country. To have the opportunity to serve an ale that is totally unique for this occasion is just amazing.”

Call the pub on 01386 871900 for more information.
