VALE residents are being invited to see in 2016 in style with a New Year’s Eve party to remember at the Regal Cinema.

After a wonderful evening filled with fizz and fantastic live music last year, the art deco style cinema is delighted to be presenting a second New Year’s Eve with the London Swing Orchestra, who have performed at a host of royal engagements.

Led by English composer, conductor and vocalist, Graham Dalby, The London Swing Orchestra is an internationally renowned Jazz Age Swing Band.

Their fabulous set includes swing music spanning more than 50 years and features the hit music of Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Louis Prima and more.

Amongst numerous other achievements, Dalby and his band have played for HM Queen Elizabeth at the Queen Mother’s 100th Birthday Party, as well at the 21st Birthday of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. Described by Princess Margaret as “absolutely marvellous”, it really is set to be a ‘regal’ night to remember!

Richard Exall, Tenor Sax in the London Swing Orchestra, said; “It’s really great that we are returning to the Regal for New Year’s Eve this year. The Art Deco interior really fits our style and they are a great crowd.”

Laurence Wiper, Live Events Manager at The Regal, added; “We’re delighted to be welcoming the London Swing Orchestra back to The Regal for our New Year’s Eve party. Everyone had a great time last year so we do hope to celebrate with some new and familiar faces again this year!”

Doors open on Thursday, December 31 at 8pm.

Tickets cost £50.00 per person and are available at www.theregal.ac or by calling The Regal’s box office on 01386 421007.

Christmas gift cards are also available to purchase via the box office now.
