THINGS are hotting up at Pershore Number 8 as the arts centre unveils a summer season full of song.

The season will include free performances in the Number 8 coffee bar, sing-alongs, themed screenings, Showboat recorded at San Francisco Opera House, workshops,

The Musical Balloon Band for children and Stuart Maconie on stage with his show The People’s Songs.

Other summer season highlights include André Rieu’s 2015 Maastricht Concert beamed in live on Saturday, July 18 and, also via satellite, a selection of Shakespearean masterpieces from the Globe and the RSC such as The Merchant of Venice, Antony and Cleopatra, Othello and Julius Caesar.




Popular expert Eric Knowles will be back in town next Saturday (June 13) to share his love of antiques.

To keep the little ones amused and there’s family film fun with Sing-Along Frozen, The Musical Balloon Band: Cecil’s Twilight Safari, Minions 2D and 3D and Moomins on the Riviera.


Audiences also have another chance to see Paddington and the Shaun the Sheep Movie while children who prefer hands on activity can enjoy Play In a Day – From Ditty to Drama which offers a host of creative activities.
