ONE OF Britain’s most popular entertainers in the showbiz industry will be making his way to Evesham next month.

Multi-million record selling artist, stage star, comedian and TV presenter, Des O’Connor has done it all.

And he will take to the stage at Evesham Arts Centre on Saturday, December 6 to perform his one-man show.

‘An Evening with Des O’Connor’ is full of laughter, song and music with the 82-year-old at his very best, entertaining audiences with his renowned wit, style and charm as he sings, jokes and recounts wonderful tales of life in show-business.

O’Connor is one of only a handful of British entertainers to be acclaimed internationally on stage and television after he rose to

the fame in the 1960s.

He entered show-business with his first theatre appearances in Variety, all over the country before his break in television.

Since his first television series in 1963 he starred in or hosted his own mainstream television show every year for over 45 years – longer than anyone anywhere in the world.

A host of the popular chat shows such as ‘The Des O’Connor Show’ and ‘Des O’Connor Tonight’, O’Connor is a familiar face to many on the small screen including being the face of game show Take Your Pick and was the host of Countdown between 2007 and 2009.

As well as the TV world, O’Connor hit huge fame with his music, releasing 36 albums with sales of more than 16 million and has spent 117 weeks in the top ten charts.

On stage he has appeared at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, The Sydney Opera House, The O’Keefe Centre, Toronto and over 1000 times at the London Palladium.

In 2011 he took to the stage in West End musical ‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’ at London’s Playhouse Theatre.

Tickets for show cost £25 and are available by visiting www.eveshamartscentre.co.uk or by calling 01386 446944.
