Regal to remember Rickman and Bowie

THE REGAL is hosting special screenings as a tribute to the unforgettable impact on the world of film of the late David Bowie and Alan Rickman

On Saturday, February 6 and Friday, February 12 customers can join The Regal team to celebrate the life of the legendary David Bowie with a screening of cult classic, Labyrinth.

Customers are also encouraged to dress up for the occasions and bring out their rocker wigs!

To celebrate the life of acclaimed actor, Alan Rickman, guests are invited to see Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves on Tuesday, February 2, in which Rickman played one of his familiar “baddy” roles in a BAFTA-winning performance as the Sheriff of Nottingham.




Customers will also have the chance to watch Love Actually on the big screen on Sunday 21 February.

Laurence Wiper from The Regal, said; “David Bowie undoubtedly made amazing contributions to the world of music over the course of his long and storied career, but he also gave the world of film plenty to talk about. We are delighted to show Bowie’s mesmerising performance as the Goblin King in his honour.”


“Along with the rest of the country, we felt the huge loss to British acting with the news of the passing of Alan Rickman.

“We are pleased to be paying tribute to his incredible talent with these special showings showcasing some of his best-loved roles.”
