AWARD-WINNING stand-up comedian Omid Djalili is returning fresh from numerous television appearances to The Regal’s stage.

The popular comic will return to the Vale on April 9, 2016 as part of a host of big names to grace the Port Street venue next year.

Rock legend and former ‘Yes’ keyboard player, Rick Wakeman, is presenting ‘The music and anecdotal wit of an Old Age Pensioner’ on June 4.

Both acts performed sell-out shows at the cinema in 2014 and tickets are already selling quickly for their 2016 events, as well as for an evening with The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, who are performing on Saturday, February 13.

In the run up to Christmas, customers are invited to celebrate the music of the legendary Frank Sinatra in a highly acclaimed show, UK Salutes Frank, on Saturday, December 12 – exactly 100 years since Sinatra was born.

Guests will enjoy the same musical arrangements as used on Sinatra’s first live album, Sinatra at the Sands, and his 1974 live album, The Main Event, performed by The Pete Long Orchestra and singers Iain Mackenzie and Jeff Hooper.

The London Swing Orchestra is also returning to perform at The Regal’s New Year’s Eve celebration Party on Thursday, December 31.

Their fabulous set includes swing music spanning over 50 years and features the hit music of Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Louis Prima and more.

The cinema is also paying tribute to the greatest rock band of all time with One Night Of Queen, performed by Gary Mullen and The Works on Friday, December 11.

Tickets to all shows are on sale now at www.theregal.ac or by calling 01386 421007 for more information.
