PERSHORE residents are being invited to a night of celebrating the legendary and much-loved songs of ABBA.
Directly from the smash-hit West End show Mamma Mia, Pershore Operatic and Dramatic Society’s (PODS) ‘Mamma Mia Singalong’ will be performed at Pershore Number 8 Community Arts Centre tomorrow (Saturday).
Lyrics will be provided by members of PODS, who will also lead the singing accompanied by a live band, so if you’re a ‘Super Trouper’, ‘When All is Said and Done’, what better way to spend your ‘Money, Money, Money’ than on this uplifting evening of singalong celebration?
For two decades PODS have been raising the roof with laughter, promoting tears and leaving audiences to journey home happily whistling or humming their favourite tune.
Having successfully brought a large number of the most popular shows in the world to the people of Pershore and friends beyond, PODS boast experts in costume, lighting, sound, stage craft and, of course, song and dance from a team of lively and creative performers.
Dress for a party night as there’s a prize for the best ‘Dancing Queen’ (or king).
There are no runner-up prizes though as ‘The Winner Takes it All’.
So come along and ‘Take a Chance’ on a night of celebrating Sweden’s greatest musical icons.
The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10 per person.
