FIRE crews tackled a major fuel spillage in Evesham yesterday (Wednesday). About 80 litres of diesel was spilled onto Cheltenham Road when the fuel housing on a double decker bus fell off about 12.30pm. The Environmental Protection Unit from Evesham Fire Station was sent to the scene and firefighters blocked nearby drains to prevent it from contaminating the water system before mopping up the fuel with specialist pads and granuals. The musical, which has been written and directed by head teacher Micheal Appleby, is a twist on the traditional Cinderella fairytale and will involve all 93 children at the school.
